Prohibited Items Policy
In the interest of protecting the health and safety of Walker students, the following items are NOT PERMITTED on the school grounds or at any school functions. Parents requesting the return of these items must make an appointment with the administrative staff before the items are returned.
- Balloons and other birthday favors remain in the main office until the end of the school day.
- All electronic devices such as radios, iPods, MP3 Players, PSP, CD players, cassette players, beepers, electronic games, cameras, etc, are not permitted..
- Cell phones must be OFF and CONCEALED when on campus.
- NO GUM is allowed on campus.
- No food or drinks are permitted in the classroom.
- No heavily scented lotions, perfumes, colognes, body and/or deodorant sprays (i.e. Axe)
- Gambling devices such as dice, playing cards, etc. are not permitted
- Drugs, alcoholic beverages, narcotics, cigarettes, tobacco, cigarette paper, lighters, pipes, matches, look-a-likes and paraphernalia, etc. are not permitted
- Explosive devices, firecrackers, fireball, cherry bombs, poppers, stink bombs, etc. are not permitted.
- Weapons, guns, knives, cake cutters, blades, screwdrivers, or other weapons are not permitted.
- Toys, which are realistic simulations of guns, knives, or other weapons are not permitted.
- Gang identification paraphernalia, including but not limited to: markers of any kind, Sharpies, paint sticks, spray paint, etchers, white-out pens, and craft and/ or X-acto knives are not permitted.
ANY STUDENT NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH ANY STANDARD WILL HAVE SUCH ITEMS CONFISCATED AND MAY BE SUSPENDED OR EXPELLED. IF NECESSARY, STUDENTS WILL CHANGE INTO THEIR PE CLOTHES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY. PARENTS REQUESTING THE RETURN OF THESE ITEMS MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF BEFORE THE ITEMS ARE RETURNED. SHOULD THE STUDENT NOT HAVE ANY PE CLOTHES, WALKER MAY PROVIDE CLEAN CLOTHES, SOME FROM OUR LOST AND FOUND.
